We removed a load-bearing wall to create an open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area. The new design promotes a more spacious and connected environment, allowing for a better flow throughout the home. The kitchen design was provided by others, but we focused on the structural changes to ensure a seamless integration with the existing layout.
Extensions
Our extension projects help homeowners expand their living space without compromising on design. We focus on creating seamless transitions between new and existing spaces, ensuring a cohesive look and feel throughout.
Garage Extension
This extension was designed to accommodate electric cars, electric bikes, and an expanded solar generation and storage system. A key feature of this project was the installation of a Korok concrete fire wall between the existing garage and the extension, meeting the client’s request for added safety above building code requirements. The extension blends seamlessly with the existing house, making it look like it was always part of the original design. The new space now serves multiple purposes, including parking and a home gym.
Secondary Dwelling
This additional 2-bedroom dwelling was initially designed for rental income and will eventually serve as a new home for the clients once their children move out. The project required careful planning to balance privacy, orientation, and practical site elements, including locating the water tank and septic field. We ensured that the new dwelling offered comfort and privacy while maintaining harmony with the main residence.
New Builds
We work with clients to design and build custom homes from the ground up, ensuring every detail aligns with their vision. Our expertise in new builds ensures a smooth process from concept to completion, delivering high-quality homes that stand the test of time.
New Dwelling
This project involved designing and constructing a modern home. With attention to privacy, functionality, and aesthetics, we ensured the new home offered comfort while blending harmoniously into the surrounding landscape. This new build provides a versatile living space for the clients, now and in the future.
Relocated Dwelling
A pre-owned house was relocated to a farm to provide extra seasonal accommodation for farm workers. We managed the logistics of relocating the house while ensuring it was safely integrated into the new site. This practical solution has provided essential accommodation for the farm's seasonal workforce.
Pole Shed Dwelling
This unique project involved converting a pole shed structure into a functional living space. The design included the addition of internal non-loadbearing walls and a small bathroom. Additionally, a larger ablution building was built to include another shower, toilet, and laundry facilities. The ablution building also serves as a mudroom, a practical feature given the dwelling’s proximity to the beach.
